Optimus DCT-2000

Features

Your new Optimus DCT-2000 DCC (Digital Compact Cassette) Deck introduces a new generation of digital audio. The DCT 2000 can play or record DCCs, which give you the same super sound quality as a compact disc or digital audio tape (DAT). But the DCT-2000 does even more-it can also play your existing collection of standard audio (analog) cassettes. This versatility is unmatched by any other digital audio device on the market.

Your DCC deck lets you record a digital copy of another digital medium, such as a CD or DAT (if the medium is not copy-protected). The deck also features analog (non-digital)inputs that let you make digital recordings of analog program material.

The DCT-2000 gives you the best in digital audio by providing the following special features:

  • Digital Connection Jacks-let you connect a digital audio device that has fiber-optic or standard phono digital jacks, for unsurpassed dubbing quality.
  • ID Editing System-lets you add ID markers to a user-recorded DCC for more control over tape playback.
  • Automatic Search Music System (ASMS)-helps you quickly find the beginning of tracks on a DCC.
  • Timer Display-shows elapsed and remaining times on an entire DCC or a single selection on a DCC.
  • Text Display-shows the album title, song title, and album credits on prerecorded DCCs.
  • Track Programming-lets you program the deck to play only selected tracks on a DCC.
  • Automatic Reverse Play-lets you set the deck to play one or both sides of a DCC, or both sides continually (up to eight times).
  • Record Mute-lets you easily record a silent section on a recordable DCC.
  • Dolby NR (B and C) reduces tape hiss and background noise on standard audio (analog) cassettes recorded using Dolby NR.
  • Four-Sector Mono Compatibility-lets you play prerecorded, four-sector mono DCCs, which can contain up to 3 hours of monaural program material.
  • Wireless Remote Control-lets you control the deck's main playback functions from a distance.
